Outstanding Innovation in Service Systems Engineering Award
The Outstanding Innovation in Service Systems Engineering Award, awarded by IISE and sponsored by Penn State’s Service Systems Engineering Program, recognizes organizations for the development of innovative techniques to improve the performance of service industries. Undergraduate Capstone Project Competition
SSE sponsors first and second place awards for seniors’ capstone projects that are in the service industry. During these projects, students work in teams with industry representatives on real-life service system problems. Problems range from process improvement at a local hospital to accommodating record-breaking attendance impact on the concession stand lines at Beaver Stadium. Winners »
Graduate Poster Presentation Competition
SSE sponsors first and second place awards for both masters and doctoral divisions in a graduate poster showcase. These awards are given to the students with exceptional research in service industries. The entries can be either an individual or a team. In this competition, students showcase engineering applications in service enterprises. Winners »
